On May 9th, the research team from the University of Passau had the privilege of taking part in Europe's largest trade fair alliance for the energy industry, Smarter E Europe 2025 in Munich. There, Mariem Ben Ahmed presented the latest research results from the OMEI project, which were submitted by Dr. Wiem Fekih Hassen as part of the Innovation Hub for Energy Storage Systems (ESS),
The presentation showed an approach for the intelligent energy management of hybrid energy storage systems (HESS), which was positively received and discussed by the audience. As energy systems become increasingly complex, intelligent control strategies like these are critical enablers for a more flexible, resilient and sustainable power grid.
The participation in the ESS Innovation Hub provided a valuable platform to share insights with leading innovators, researchers and industry experts as they work together to shape the future of clean energy.
